Resolution

Resolution is the quality of the video, its different things like sharpness. The better the resolution the greater the quality which in tern is better to look at. Dot per inch indicates the resolution. This image shows that the greater the number the more pixels per inch are used with getting better quality footage. ppi makes a difference to the file size because if its a high definition (HD) it will be large files as more pixels means that it will take up more spaces and take longer to load.

Frame rate

Frame rate is the frequency at which imaging devices display consecutive images called frames. Frame rate affects the file size because of the amount of fps (fps).

Purposes Of Researches

Audience Research

Audience research is looking into the audience that your program or film will be presented to. This requires looking into the age group and what is and isn't acceptable for them to be viewing and what you can have in your story and if they should be see it. Before finishing any designs, research has to be done before the idea can even be thought about. This is required so that the producer has better knowledge of target viewers. It can be a huge waste of time consumption and money if the product isn't created the way it was intended, all of this can happen if the target audience isn't researched or applied to the right watchers. This also links to advertisement in a way that if you know who your aiming the product at its easier to advertise in the right place for right viewers.

Market Research

In order to maintain sales and become the "best" or "top" company over competing businesses market research is very important and is needed to do this as it gives key information regarding market needs, sizes and sales. This kind of research often includes doing social with opinionated study's and also gathers peoples or company's organisations by using different methods depending on the social research. What market research is, is basically a way of getting overviews of different customers needs, wants and interests. The research helps to understand how products can be marketed. When doing market research researchers can find out the costs of different commodities along with knowing what the supply and demand situation is. Market researchers have to know how to help their clients understand things like social networking, technical and legal aspects of markets and research.

Production research

When creating a new product, production research is needed to give valuable information on different products. Different information on this could be things like how it was made and the costs for it, a good example of this is adverts, adverts are made for audiences to buy the product so its the producers jobs to make adverts that use production research. When company's or organisations conduct production research it allows them to get a overview of the products and everything involved, this is a key skill that helps businesses become successful, gain more profits and expand. this kind of research uses different techniques to gather information. Demographics play a big part when researching as it shows things like opinions, characteristics and habits of target audiences by numerous aspects for example gender, age and locations like addresses and postcodes.

Legal & Ethical Considerations

When creating/making something you have to be aware and think about the legal and ethical issues in media. One of the biggest issues is copyright. And what copyright is, is when someone copy´s an idea or the whole thing its self like a video and claims it as their own, benefiting from it. To help with this legal protection is advised so that people cant steal owners original material. One thing to take note of though is that copyright can only be used on the outcome or applications not the idea its self.

Health and safety is also a legal issue as things like risk assessment forms need to done especially when planing on filming somewhere. Employer liability insurance exists to help with diseases or injury's that could happen in the work place. Employer rights tie into this as employees have the right to a safe work place, training time, sick pay and loads more of different things.

Businesses  and company's use things like trademarks to define things and makes their businesses stand out so people notice and can tell what company it is.

You can not discriminate against anyone based on sexuality, race, sex or believes. This also falls under the equal opportunity´s act and what this is, is that you cant be singled out or not to participate in something, every one has to be treated like an equal with equal right and opportunity´s.
When company's are creating something or have an idea confidentiality is a key component that stops other company's from stealing or taking credit from the original owners work. Most commonly employers will be needed to sign a confidentiality agreement form when working on things to stop them from sharing ideas or plans that businesses don´t want getting out. Ethics. What ethics are, are basically the thing that stops people usually reporters from be biased. They must not be biased when doing a story and cant lead it or have people say stuff that would make it one sided. Its best if things are approached with a open mind and keep it mutual. When in media privacy must be taken into account, even more when filming or doing an interview, people like producers and reporters must make sure that they are not interfering, bothering or being to intrusive with people´s lives or opinions. Material is also not allowed to be released that people don´t approve of. By this I mean if an interviewee said something they don´t like or didn't mean to.

Cost of developing the script

If my script was to go into production a average cost would be needed. Thinking about it and looking into it the cost should not be sky high as it would be filmed with minimal cast and would be filmed with a single camera.
There would be no more than five cast members. Four will only be needed really as one character would only make a quick one minuet appearance right at the start.
The crew would also be a small number with probably a most of three members, a designer to help with characters cloths etc, a sound guy to hold the microphone up when filming and lastly the director who would also film and edit the whole thing helping with keeping costs staying low.
When filming the locations shouldn't cost anything as its based at college so timings and logistics would be arranged to fit a day its open and also empty.

I think with keeping the crew, cast and equipment at a low the general cost should be to high and would be affordable and easy to maintain. Every thing like filming and all the practical stuff would be done in house so that would help a lot overall.

Market Researching

When I was doing my market research I could not find any films or TV shows that had the same premise as mine. I did find that there are similar films and shows that involve a bunch of people being hunted and killed. From knowing this and watching these similar story's I feel confident that mine will be very different as mine is based on body image which as far as I can tell hasn't been done before. Because mine is already starting of similar to other shows but completely original as well I will have to be carefully to not copy other creators ideas and will have to stay true to my own story and vision. The similar shows and films that most resemble mine are scream queens and the hit film series scream. Because my idea is original and there hasn't been a story like this before there are not any competitors that I have to worry about.

I've learnt that if  I want an original concept then I will have to look more into these films and shows and learn how and what I can do different to make other people wan to watch my show. Seen as how successful they are I could find out what makes them so popular and begin to draw ideas from them but also have to remember the legal side of things and stay away from any copy right issues, this shouldn't be a problem as with my research there's nothing else like that has been done before.

Engaging in market research I looked into the audience and the channel it would be aired on.
Looking at the audience and the viewers it had I think that my film would best to aired on the BBC 3 seen as how they have similar shows to mine but also because the viewers that they have fit the age rating my film has. Due to the tone my film has the gory nature of it, it should be aired any time past 9 o'clock that way it will be sure to reach the correct viewer rating and also to get the maximum of viewers.
